Home Connection Newsletter – Pre-K
Ms. Hernandez/Mrs. M Week April 6-9
We were so happy to see our friends who were able to join us during our Zoom session this Thursday. They were so happy to “see” each other and say “Hello”. This week coming up, we will be having another Zoom meeting, I will send an email as soon as other meetings that I have to “attend” are scheduled.
Thank you for your continued communication. Please continue to email (your child’s activities/engagement) based on what is best for you and your family (one email a day - if one picture with a short sentence works best daily that will be fine) or one email at the end of the week of that week's activities/engagement. At no time, do we want these to be burdensome to our families. We want to be flexible and for our families/students to only do what they can at their own pace. We encourage only participation in terms of what is possible for each individual child/family. Please note these will be documented as part of the student's engagement for the day/week.
During these times, young children may have many questions and may not comprehend what is happening. Below are some great resources from our social worker.
Resources for parents on how to talk to their kids about Corona Virus. This is a great website... with videos about social distancing, washing hands and about the corona virus https://www.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/what-is-coronavirus-video/meet-the-helpers/

Silly spring poem - Have Fun!!
I have a little frog,
His name is Tiny Tim,
I put him in the bathtub,
To see if he could swim,
He drank up all the water
And gobbled up all the soap!
And when he tried to talk,
He had a bubble in his troat!
Looking Ahead……
Pre-K plans/Open-ended engagement - Any learning/play engagement that your child is exploring is very valuable. If for some reason you are not receiving these plans, please let me know.
